This vase plays with the idea of a simple geometric volume blurring the intersection between 3-dimensional sculpture and 2-dimensional painting. Already in its most minimal sculptural form, this human face is then further abstracted by limiting its representation to a continuous painted line: two layers of abstraction resulting in the suggestion of a suggestion of a person.
